The story of how this company started is amusing yet ambitious. It all began when John had a few passenger during his uber drive that had never been to the state at all. John talked to them in pigeon english, and they had no clue what he was saying. However, that did not stop the passenger from asking all sorts of questions. From recommended food places to scenic drives all along the coast, john was giving them location that he, his family, and friends would go to around the island. He started to talk about his past experiences at these locations. The good, the bad, the stories he told them captivated the mines of his passengers which lead them to asking if he was available for hire as a tour guide for a day. He said no, but it got him thinking about a new business venture as tour guide. Month later, he started CNR Hawaii Transportation & Tours with a vision of a tour company that gave an authentic local experience.

CNR Hawaii Transportation & Tours started as a company giving private tours to individual groups and families. The journey and path now that this company is taking, is to have multiple groups and families together to enjoy this experience as one ohana(family). One thing about Hawaii culture is how a lot of things revolves around family.
